TrustTunnel: Our Protocol That Blocks Can't See

TrustTunnel is ASMO360's proprietary protocol based on HTTP/2. Nearly indistinguishable from regular browser traffic. Works where other VPNs give up.

April 24, 2026

Most VPNs use standard protocols — WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPSec. These technologies are solid, but they share one common weakness: their traffic is easily identified by Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) systems used by ISPs and regulators in Russia, China, UAE and other countries. The result — the VPN gets blocked.

We took a different approach. Our proprietary TrustTunnel protocol is designed so that VPN traffic is completely indistinguishable from normal browser activity.

How TrustTunnel works

TrustTunnel uses the HTTP/2 protocol — the exact same one all modern browsers use when loading web pages. When you open Chrome or Safari and visit any website, your browser establishes an HTTP/2 connection with the server. TrustTunnel does exactly the same thing — except your entire internet traffic is carried inside that connection.

From a DPI system's perspective: the user opened a browser and visited a website. This is legitimate HTTP/2 HTTPS traffic. No VPN signatures. No unusual headers. No distinctive packet patterns.

Multiplexing: one connection for everything

HTTP/2 supports multiplexing — the ability to carry many independent data streams through a single connection. TrustTunnel leverages this: one HTTP/2 connection simultaneously handles TCP streams (web, downloads), UDP streams (DNS, video calls), and ICMP (ping). This makes the connection efficient and saves battery life compared to multiple parallel connections.

Only our apps support TrustTunnel

TrustTunnel is a closed ASMO360 development. No third-party client supports this protocol. This means that for maximum protection — especially in Russia, UAE, Iran, China and Turkey — you need to use our official apps: ASMO360 VPN for iOS/macOS or Android.

Real speed, not theory

HTTP/2-based encryption doesn't mean a slow connection. TrustTunnel delivers real download speeds of 30–90 Mbps with 50–150ms ping on German servers — enough for 4K streaming, video calls and work tasks. The built-in speed test in the app lets you verify this yourself and saves a history of measurements.

Why this matters for you

If you live in Russia, UAE, Belarus, Iran or travel to China — you know how important it is to have a VPN that actually works. TrustTunnel was built exactly for these situations: when regular VPNs can no longer cope, it remains undetected and stable.
